The rumour that an A-Team movie would join the leagues of other 80s shows adapted to the big screen has finally come to pass.
Fox has given the green light and hired on some writers, directors and producers.
Latino Review says:
Studio has set Joe Carnahan to direct and Ridley Scott to produce, with Tony Scott exec producing through their Scott Free banner.
Also producing are Jules Daly and Stephen J. Cannell, the latter of whom created the original TV series.
Carnahan will team with Brian Bloom to polish a script by Skip Woods. The intention is to start production by June for a June 11, 2010, release.
Fox has struggled to find a way to exploit the branded TV show while avoiding the series’ campy tone

With The Dream on the way to releasing his new album, Love vs. Money in a little over a month, he also plans to release a second album this year (entitled Love King), and then plans to do a joint album with Kanye West a la Jay-Z and R. Kelly Best of Both Worlds style.
“The fourth album you hear from me will probably be a record that’s done with Kanye,” he told DJ Skee on his HD2 New Music Show.
But before they begin work together, Kanye has asked that The Dream raise his celebrity status a little bit. Even though he’s penned huge hits for Beyonce, Rihanna, J. Holiday and many more, he is still pretty under the radar as far as being an artist. But The Dream assure us that he’s going to get his status up.
“I told Kanye I was gonna lift my profile,” he continued.
This will not be the first time the two collaborate. The Dream and Kanye worked together on Jamie Foxx’s new album, Intuition, and is also set to appear on The Dream’s upcoming album, Love vs. Money.

“Two people close to Joaquin Phoenix tell EW that the actor’s recent attempt to reinvent himself as a rapper is not what it appears to be.
Ever since the actor announced he was ditching his career in movies to try to make it as a rap artist, speculation has flown wildly about what, exactly, the two-time Oscar nominee might be thinking. Following his widely panned three-song debut as a rapper at a Las Vegas nightclub on Jan. 16 — a shambling performance that concluded with the actor falling off the stage — two competing theories emerged: Either Phoenix is perpetrating an elaborate Andy Kaufman-style hoax…or he’s truly lost his marbles. The truth, it seems, is closer to the former. “He said, ‘It’s a put-on. I’m going to pretend to have a meltdown and change careers, and Casey [Affleck] is going to film it,‘” says one source who recently worked with Phoenix.”
“It’s an art project for him,” says a source. “He’s going full out. He probably has told his reps that he’s quit acting. Joaquin is very smart. This is very conscious. He has a huge degree of control.”
